CET Technologies Inc. and Edge Cloud Forge Partnership to Modernize Cebu Provincial Government IT Infrastructure

CEBU CITY, Philippines — July 14 — In a strategic initiative to modernize local government IT infrastructure and elevate public service delivery, CET Technologies Inc. has partnered with Edge Cloud Technology & Solutions to deploy robust Virtual Private Server (Infrastructure as a Service — IaaS) solutions for the Provincial Government Office of Cebu.

 

The service subscription is engineered to provide highly secure, scalable, and manageable virtual server resources for the core administrative and citizen-facing operations of the Provincial Capitol of Cebu. By transitioning critical workloads to a managed cloud infrastructure, the province aims to significantly enhance system reliability and data resilience for its constituents.

Strengthening Critical Public Services

The newly deployed IaaS architecture will serve as the backbone for several mission-critical provincial systems, ensuring continuous operation and seamless disaster recovery. The initial scope of the infrastructure allocation focuses on three primary pillars:

-       Hospital Management Systems Backup: Establishing secure, automated, and redundant data archiving for provincial healthcare facilities to guarantee zero data loss and uninterrupted patient care management.

-       Disaster Incident Management Systems Backup: Hosting high-availability virtual servers that power emergency response platforms, enabling real-time inter-agency coordination and rapid deployment of resources during natural disasters or civil emergencies.

-       Core DNS Server Infrastructure: Providing high-performance Domain Name System (DNS) hosting to ensure fast, secure, and reliable routing for all provincial government websites, portals, and internal networks.

Official Project Kick-Off

The initiative was formally launched during a project kick-off meeting held on July 14 at the Provincial ICT Office. The session brought together key stakeholders from the public and private sectors to finalize implementation frameworks, security protocols, and migration schedules.

 

Jeanett Saluba, Head of the Provincial ICT Office, represented the provincial government, underscoring the Capitol's commitment to digital transformation and proactive IT risk management.

 

Representing the technology providers were Jojo Ciano, General Manager of CET Technologies Inc., alongside the technical and systems engineering team from Edge Cloud Technology & Solutions. The joint collaboration highlights a shared vision of empowering local governance through cutting-edge, enterprise-grade cloud technology.

By leveraging managed IaaS, the Provincial Government of Cebu reduces the overhead and capital expenditure associated with maintaining aging physical server hardware.
